July 16/2010, Still HOT~~HAZY & HUMID! And storm after storm but no relief from the heat. We are all just praying August will bring some relief. At five o'clock this afternoon holidays begin!! Not sure what we are doing since our plans to go to PA were canceled., Rose is having surgery today and just wants to recuperate Giz is there with her so that is a god thing. We do have our little day trip tomorrow and Les is hoping to go spend a couple of days with his brother, that will be such a nice break for both of us. Second week we have doctor and dentist appointments so there goes one day. I am hoping we can take a day and go to Ikea. We are having the electrical done in the gazebo as well and then that to is done. Went and had my hair done last night before the storm hit, I had it cut a little shorter than usual I can not stand it on my neck in this heat. Rest of the week was good I was either in the house or out in my gazebo reading or watching the hummingbirds. The other day one poor little female hit the door on her way by luckily she was not hurt it is a very soft type of plastic, very heavy but very forgiving. It's some new space age stuff virtually indestructible, pretty cool stuff. Our neighbor has a little skunk comes out to visit their yard every night around eight, we think it is living under the deck of the people on the other side of them. Darlene is not happy and neither would I be, just hope it goes away soon. I don't want it coming over here. Not doing to much today a little dusting and that's pretty much it, Dalis will be by later with my avon so we will visit for a bit. Then it's dinner and get me ready for tomorrow we have to be up at the crack of dawn our bus leaves at seven. Well nothing more to tell you life is good and for this I am grateful. July 12/2010 Still hot here and no end in site, it's a cloudy stormy day but still humid and muggy. This month sure has been a scorcher and it's not even half over the long range continues to call for extreme temperatures and high humidity. Am hardly out doors I stay in where it is cool and I still swell up. It's a good day to stay in and catch up it will take me all day but I plan to get as much done as I can before I poop out. Weekend was good got the hospital visit over with and now the scan is done no more fretting over that~~ I lived threw another needle. Sue am bruised up real bad but it will heal, just takes me a long time. Now I am praying the results will be good and no surgery. After that we went to bottle wine and then we had a ceiling fan to pick up for the gazebo we found one that was just perfect a bit pricey but worth it. And then finally home to relax. Saturday was busy we had a trip to St Jacobs to see some furniture for the gazebo it looked perfect and it was, so we bought it and best of all it was on sale all summer merchandise is 30 to 50% off. Hard to believe but everything summer is all ready being blown out every where. It was a traditional whicker set it looks great and fits perfect. Now that is done, I just love sitting out there and relaxing or reading and best of all watching a good summer storm. It will give us years of enjoyment not to mention extending our time out doors. Busy week ahead and it's the start of holidays! Friday I have my hair to get done all ready needs cutting again we have some errands later and then home to relax. Saturday we are off on a day trip with our Take A Break Tours group this time it's over to Frankenmuth for the day. We are going on a little cruise when we get there and then it's lunch and shopping. Not sure about Sunday maybe will just rest up. Our trip to PA has been postponed till next year, Rose is going in for surgery so she thought it best we hold off. I think hubby might take a few days to go see his brother in Welland and have some alone time. I think that would be very good for him to get away by himself for a bit. Lots of chores here to be done as well nothing big just some small things need doing. Well I think this is pretty much it for now and I need to get back to work. Thanks for peeping by.

July 7/2010., Day three of this horrid heat wave and no end in site. Yesterday I did not go out from ten in the morning until seven that night. I can not handle the heat it just kills me. Not much has happened since Monday just trying to stay cool like most everyone else going threw this heat. At least I have air I feel so bad for those that don't. I really do have to try and accomplish something today yesterday was a complete wash out I did nothing. I am in here this morning to post a quick hello and complain about the heat. Friday is quickly coming am not looking forward to it but at least it will be done and over with. I have pretty much covered what I wanted to say so I am off, going to try real hard to do something constructive today. Thanks for peeping by.

July 5/2010, Muggy, miserable Monday. Only 8:30am and all ready it feels like 33C out there. (91 Fahrenheit) The air is so thick you could cut it with a knife and our week is be like this right threw only hotter each day. It's July and I guess that means humid HOT weather. So it has been a week since I last posted and nothing to major happened in all that time. Our Canada day was very quiet and very nice. We just spent time at home and relaxed. Friday was errands and after back home to do more relaxing. Saturday we stayed home and did pulled pork on the BBQ, Steve dropped by in the afternoon to see how things were and ask if he could take some pictures of the gazebo for his catalogue. He was very impressed when he saw how I had decorated it and made it look like a garden setting. Sunday was Sons day. there is no holiday for our children and yet parents get a special day. So we decided to create a special day for our son and this we started several years back. We gave him his gift on Saturday since we would be gone all day Sunday. That to was a gift in itself having the day all to himself and alone. Father and I were off on a little day trip to Parks blueberry farm, he wanted to stock up on pies they make single serve pies and I like to keep a bunch in the freezer all I have to do is thaw and cook. We had a nice little day out but Lord was it hot had to keep the air on in the car. We stopped at Winners in Chatham and I finally found the wall art I wanted for the house to put out by the door. Will post a picture when it goes up. After we stopped and had a early dinner and then headed home to relax got here just after 5pm. And here it is Monday as always busy and for this I am grateful need to keep my mind off of Friday. I go in for the CT scan to check on the aneurysm will be so glad when it's over. I just pray I will not be needing surgery. After we have to go bottle wine if I don't feel to good Nigel will help father bottle it. And then finally home am hoping we can just stay in this weekend it is just to hot to be out running around. Probably will spend some time on the computer this week because I won't be out in the afternoon the heat will kill me. And of course with all this heat and humidity there are some storms forecast. Well it is just about nine o'clock so that means I had better get things started have laundry to get going and turn the dishwasher on. Then all the Monday tidying up to do. Thanks for peeping by. June28/2010, One in the afternoon and just about done for the day have the floors to swiffer and that is it for today. It's hot and humid still. But after and if the storms come we are in for a big cool down! At least till Friday and then the humidity returns. But if I can get the house open for a few days I will take it. Well the gazebo is done and it is FABULOUS!! We love it! For now I just have some chairs in there until I find the perfect furniture. I have pictures for everyone to see in the photo blog. It is just perfect and now our deck is complete. Steve finished the construction while were were away on Friday. So much has happened since my last post, most of the week was good except for Thursday hubby decided to go into work at 2:30in the morning and proceeded to work until after nine that night. It just Pi*** me off that he does this. No one ever thinks of him and he is stuck doing his job and everyone else's. The 2 people he needs to be there decided to take time off with no thought for anyone but themselves. I was so angry that he would let them get away with it, and then to top it off he got a call Friday morning while were away. It's like Les is not entitled to any time off for himself everyone is so selfish, they all expect him to do everything and always be there. Needless to say I was not happy about any of it! But we managed to have a great time on Friday. Saturday not so good he was tired and irritable as was I it all caught up with us, he was way past exhaustion and I was stressed and tired. Sunday was much better we were back on track and back to normal. I hate the bickering and it only happens when he is tired and overworked. And now it is the start of a brand new week and a short one Thursday is our Canada day here it is our country's birthday so it will be a long weekend and tons of celebrations. I think for us we will keep it very quiet and just relax. I have my CT scan coming up on the 9th of July and I just want to relax and try not to think about it. Not much more to tell you it's pretty quiet here and this is how we like it, had enough drama on Thursday, thank God this rarely happens. If the storms come I will be out in my gazebo reading and listening to the rain. I should catch up on my email as well. Thanks for peeping by.

June23/2010 Hot and hazy all ready. So today I am in and not planning on doing a whole lot. Nurse has been here I had to have blood work done again. I have managed to do a load of laundry and am just waiting for it to finish drying. The dishes are drying as well and I can put those away later. My back is still hurting like crazy I keep applying heat hoping it will ease it some. Am hoping for a miracle by Friday and all will be well. I want to be able to enjoy our shopping trip. And so far so good no phone calls regarding the gazebo so it looks like that will be here tomorrow as planned. I have an appointment tomorrow evening to go see Karen my massage therapist. I really hope she can fix or at least relieve this pain in my back. Hubby thinks he may have found a furniture set that will fit in the gazebo, that would be terrific if it fits. So after tomorrow when it is done we will know better. And if it works than we will go out Saturday morning and pick it up. Plans were to just stay home Saturday and Sunday but if I can get furniture for my gazebo I want it. I can tell all ready I will be napping by this afternoon, I had a terrible night. Don't have to cook tonight so that is good I pretty much can take the day off after the dishes and laundry are put away. Well nothing more to tell you so I am off to finish chores. June 20/2010 Warm Sunday afternoon, men are off golfing and me I am working on my site and getting it ready to go on summer hiatus. Will do a blog entry from time to time and if it's a stormy indoor day I might add some new graphics. But for the most part we will be away a lot this summer. Friday was peaceful father and I sat out after he got home and just enjoyed the remainder of the afternoon and evening, drank a little wine and did nothing. Saturday we got busy and put the template up for the gazebo and made a terrible discovery! All the furniture we had bought is not going to fit in there it is way to big so we started to take it all back and tomorrow he will return the love seat. So now I am back to shopping and trying to decide on just what I want to do in there and so far we are not agreeing. Well this time I am not doing anything until it is up on Thursday than I will see what my options are. Holding my breath until Thursday and it finally arrives. Les is off on Friday and we are away for the day, We are all going on a little shopping trip. Then plans are to just stay home Saturday and Sunday and do nothing. It is the start of fathers 4 day weeks for the summer we are both looking so forward to this. Well just got a message men are on the last hole so that means they are on there way. June 18/2010 Beautiful spring morning it's so nice to sit here in my office and feel the breeze coming in threw the window and hear the chimes off in the background. Wish I were out in my gazebo but sadly that is still seven days away. Steve called the other day and instead of Tuesday it won't be here till the 24th. At least it is here before we go away for the day Friday we are off state side for some retail therapy. I am looking for some decorator cushions and a big red umbrella for the dinning table. Saw one at Kohls just need to check it out. Not much has happened since Monday it's been a pretty good week. Weather has been nice except for Wednesday another wind storm there are so many of theses any more. Last night Leslie had a melt down he just hates cutting the grass and it is his chore it was either that or clear the snow in winter. Well he hates both so he choose grass at least he does not have to get up at 5 and clear the drive. He is not having a good time cutting the grass and frankly it shows when he is done. We have tried to offer suggestions but he is having none of it. It needs cutting more often and he just refuses to see it. Oh well he will get over it. Usual weekend for us here but it will be very hot tomorrow so back on with the air. Saturday we are going to get the deck ready for the gazebo to go up on Thursday, we are putting a template down for where it is to go and then moving the table over more towards the cooking area. Then it's food shopping and back home to relax. Sunday Leslie is taking his dad golfing and then home for a fathers day feast. Rest of today is swiffering the floors and working on my site getting it ready for the summer shut down. Well I have come to the end here again so I am off to to finish house chores.
